Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy.
• Educate patients about their medications, including side effects and interactions.
• Assist in the development of patient care plans.
• Manage pharmacy operations and workflow efficiently.
• Participate in medication therapy management sessions.
• Conduct patient consultations and support health initiatives.
• Stay updated with new medications and treatment protocols.

Requirements

Education

• BPharm or MPharm degree

Experience

• 3+ years in a community or retail pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacology
• Medication Therapy Management

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Current First Aid and CPR certification: Certification is required to assist in emergency situations.
• Experience with health promotion programs: Involvement in community health initiatives is a plus.
