We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of information security principles, risk management, and incident response procedures. This position involves enhancing our cybersecurity posture and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security plans to safeguard organizational assets.
• Review and enhance security documentation and policies.
• Participate in the incident response team during security breaches.
• Conduct security training sessions for employees.
• Enhance malware protection and response capabilities.
• Evaluate third-party service providers for security compliance.
• Investigate data loss incidents and propose preventive measures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or IT Security preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Cryptography
• Firewall Management

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks: Understanding of NIST, ISO27001, or similar cybersecurity frameworks.
