Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose illnesses and monitor overall health.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform routine examinations and preventive care services.
  • Educate patients on health management, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated with medical advancements.
  • Provide emergency care when necessary and ensure referrals to specialists.
  • Foster long-term relationships with patients to ensure continuous care.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and ethical standards.

Requirements

Education
  • MBChB or equivalent medical degree
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical setting
