Job Description

We're looking for a compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care, perform surgeries, and promote the well-being of pets. You will work alongside a dedicated group of veterinary professionals in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose diseases and health issues in pets through examinations.
  • Manage surgical and medical cases with professionalism and precision.
  • Perform euthanasia when necessary, ensuring compassionate care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and documentation rigorously.
  • Engage in teamwork and support across the clinic.
  • Provide training for support staff in handling patient care.
  • Engage with pet owners to provide education on animal health.
  • Participate in continuous learning activities to advance skills.
  • Actively contribute to improving clinic procedures and protocols.
  • Contribute to a positive clinic culture promoting well-being and collaboration.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in mixed-animal practice preferred.
