Job Description

The Track Subway Repair Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance and repair of subway tracks and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the subway system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a passion for team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the subway track maintenance team.
  • Guarantee that repair work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee the training of new team members in safety and repair procedures.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for larger repair projects.
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong safety culture within the team.
  • Assist in developing annual budgets for maintenance operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of repair materials and supplies.
  • Report on maintenance operations to upper management.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Technical qualification or trade certification
Experience
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in track and subway operations.
