Internal Auditor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Internal Auditor to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you'll be responsible for assessing compliance with financial regulations, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring our abiding with auditing laws. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset and solid experience in auditing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and perform audits across various departments and functions.
• Develop, implement, and revise audit policies as needed.
• Educate staff on compliance and best practices for financial management.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews.
• Identify weaknesses in internal controls and recommend improvement strategies.
• Review and recommend improvements in accounting procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of auditing experience in financial services

Certifications

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• CISA or similar certification is advantageous
