Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student. You will provide specialized instruction and support for children with diverse learning abilities within a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEPs and provide tailored instruction for students with varying abilities.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective learning strategies.
• Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting plans as necessary.

• Provide training to general education teachers on supporting students with special needs.
• Assist in implementing behavioural intervention plans.

• Build strong relationships with parents and community resources.
• Stay informed about legislation and educational policies affecting special education.
