Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing health programs and initiatives aimed at improving community health outcomes. This role involves engagement with community members, local authorities, and health organizations to identify health needs and develop effective interventions.

Responsibilities

• Lead community outreach efforts to promote health awareness.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments in high-risk populations.
• Coordinate with governmental and non-governmental organizations for health interventions.
• Analyze data on community health trends and needs.
• Advocate for policy changes to improve public health.
• Collaborate with educational institutions on public health research.
• Stay updated on health regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health roles

• Certified Public Health (CPH)
