Internal Auditor

Job Description

As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in monitoring and improving the firm’s financial health by assessing all operational aspects and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your keen analytical skills will be put to use as you conduct audits, develop reports, and implement recommendations to improve financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed internal audits across various departments.
• Evaluate and improve the existing internal controls.
• Identify areas of risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare audit reports detailing findings and recommendations.
• Assist teams in implementing audit recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
• CA(SA) or equivalent qualification strongly preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of auditing experience, preferably within financial services

Technical Skills

• Forensic Auditing
• Data Analysis Tools

Soft Skills

• Persuasion Skills
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with auditing software (e.g. CaseWare): Familiarity with audit management tools to streamline processes.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems: Exposure to ERP systems for financial reporting and compliance.
