Internal Auditor

Job Description

As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in monitoring and improving the firm’s financial health by assessing all operational aspects and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your keen analytical skills will be put to use as you conduct audits, develop reports, and implement recommendations to improve financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes.
• Participate in compliance assessments and ensure adherence to policies.
• Document audit processes and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies when required.
• Train junior audit staff and contribute to team development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
• CA(SA) or equivalent qualification strongly preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of auditing experience, preferably within financial services

Technical Skills

• Forensic Auditing
• Data Analysis Tools

Soft Skills

• Persuasion Skills
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Certification: Certification in project management methodologies such as PMI or PRINCE2.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence tools: Knowledge of BI tools and their application in auditing.
