Electrical Engineer

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer at our Durban office, you will engage in the design and oversight of electrical systems for a variety of projects. You will also act as a mentor to junior engineers and be pivotal in driving our commitment to sustainable practices in all projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and components.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new projects.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure integration of electrical systems.
• Oversee installation and testing of electrical systems and components.
• Evaluate existing electrical systems and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure projects comply with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients to ensure project requirements are met.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling.
• Research and apply new electrical engineering technologies and trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

• Knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.: Familiarity with South African electrical standards and compliance.
