Electrical Engineer

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer at our Durban office, you will engage in the design and oversight of electrical systems for a variety of projects. You will also act as a mentor to junior engineers and be pivotal in driving our commitment to sustainable practices in all projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system specifications based on project requirements.
• Perform simulations and modeling to assess performance and reliability.
• Conduct site inspections to gather data and ensure compliance.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during construction.
• Maintain detailed records of all engineering activities and changes.
• Evaluate supplier and vendor proposals for electrical components.
• Coordinate with project managers on project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

• Knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.: Familiarity with South African electrical standards and compliance.
