Job Description

As a Material Moving Worker, you'll be responsible for the efficient handling of materials stored in silos. This includes overseeing the loading and unloading processes, ensuring the quality of the materials is maintained, and adhering to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in material handling and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming trucks to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Keep accurate records of inventory levels and grain movements.
• Communicate with customers regarding grain storage and shipment schedules.
• Prepare reports on material handling operations.
• Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in Agriculture or similar preferred

Experience

• 2+ years in material handling or silo operations

Technical Skills

• Forklift Operation
• Inventory Control

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Communication Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiar with industrial control systems: Experience with operating and maintaining control systems.
• Bilingual: Fluency in both English and Afrikaans is a strong asset.
