Job Description

As a Structural Engineer at Construction Solutions Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of construction projects in Cape Town. You'll apply your knowledge to create efficient designs while ensuring project specifications and relevant legislation is adhered to.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed calculations and drawings using engineering software.
  • Ensure all engineering practices comply with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Participate in project planning meetings to ensure structural needs are met.
  • Lead projects from conception to completion while ensuring budget control.
  • Review and approve design modifications while analyzing their safety implications.
  • Support the construction team during the implementation phase.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage
Experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering
Technical Skills
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Earthquake Engineering
