We are on the lookout for a motivated Tax Consultant in Durban who will play an essential role in helping clients manage their tax obligations efficiently. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of tax legislation and be able to provide tailored advice that meets individual client needs. Responsibilities

• Evaluate the tax positions of individual clients and businesses.
• Prepare and file corporate and personal tax returns accurately.
• Advise clients on deductions, credits, and tax benefits.
• Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
• Draft reports summarizing tax planning strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal tax obligations, minimizing risk for clients.
• Assist in training junior staff on tax processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is highly regarded

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in a similar role or in a tax department

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) SA

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Previous experience in audit: Experience working in audit firms or in an internal audit capacity.
