Shoe Machine Operators and Tenders

Job Description

The Heel Dipper will be responsible for preparing and maintaining a solution used to disinfect footwear in a manufacturing environment. This individual will ensure that the solution meets quality standards and is properly labeled and stored.

Responsibilities

• Dipping the heels of shoes in the disinfectant solution to strengthen them.
• Checking and ensuring that the right amount of solution is applied.
• Following safety procedures when handling the disinfectant.
• Ensuring proper drying of shoes post-dipping.
• Collaborating with team members to meet production targets.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
• Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Assist with training newcomers on environmental handling.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Experience with chemicals

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience training others: Ability to guide and train new staff members effectively.
