Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Clinical Psychologist to provide effective therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups. You will play a vital role in developing tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of our clients in a compassionate and supportive manner.

Responsibilities

• Engage in continuous professional development and supervision.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Contribute to the development of mental health programmes within the community.
• Provide mentorship to interns and junior staff.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in Clinical Psychology is preferred
• Registration with the HPCSA

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Family Therapy

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• IsiXhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in an additional local language: Ability to communicate effectively in local dialects.
• Research experience in mental health practices: Contribute to ongoing research and program evaluation.
