Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Interior Designer to join our vibrant team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative and functional designs for a variety of residential and commercial projects. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision and bring it to life through your creativity and design expertise.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software to create design plans and renderings.
• Engage in regular client consultations to gather feedback.
• Curate unique furnishings and decorations that enhance spaces.
• Evaluate the success of completed projects and gather client testimonials.
• Follow trends in color, material, and furniture design.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance as needed.
• Prepare project reports detailing progress and final outcomes.
• Implement sustainable design practices in all projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the interior design industry

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• 3D Rendering Software

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Collaboration

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with commercial interior design: Background in designing office spaces and retail environments.
• Fluency in Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in Afrikaans is a plus.
