Job Description

In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing data systems and pipelines as a Data Engineer in Johannesburg. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions that enhance business intelligence efforts and support analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data integration processes to ensure availability of accurate and reliable data.
• Work with stakeholders to gather data requirements and provide data solutions that meet business needs.
• Automate repetitive tasks related to data acquisition and reporting.
• Conduct data analysis and visualization to uncover insights and trends.
• Participate in data governance efforts to maintain data integrity and compliance.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends in data engineering and analytics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Master's in Data Science or related field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in data engineering or a related role preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Docker: Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker is advantageous.
