DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of both development and operations, ensuring seamless deployment and integration of applications in our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for improving deployment frequency, leading to faster time to market and ensuring the reliability of services. Your expertise will drive automation and implement best practices to enhance our CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy highly available systems in a cloud environment.
• Optimize application performance through monitoring and configuration adjustments.
• Integrate monitoring tools to track deployments and application performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to DevOps practices.
• Conduct post-mortem analysis of incidents and develop improvement plans.
• Lead initiatives to fine-tune application deployment processes.
• Collaborate with software engineers to understand application requirements and design appropriate systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant DevOps experience

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent
