Job Description

As a Tax Specialist at Confidential Tax Solutions in Cape Town, you will be integral to ensuring our clients remain compliant with tax legislation. Your responsibilities will include preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and advising clients on tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clients adhere to tax policies and procedures.
• Consult with clients regarding tax liabilities and potential risks.
• Provide reports and recommendations for tax savings and efficiency.
• Assist clients in tax-related disputes and negotiations.
• Coordinate with legal and financial advisors for tax-related processes.
• Implement tax strategies in alignment with client goals.
• Perform impact analysis of new tax laws on clients’ positions.
• Educate clients on tax obligations and best practices.
• Manage and mentor junior tax staff within the department.
• Review and amend tax returns as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
• Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CA(SA), CTA) preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in taxation or accounting role
