DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the hunt for a skilled DevOps Engineer in Port Elizabeth who has a passion for automating processes and enhancing deployment pipelines. The successful candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline our cloud infrastructure and improve system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor cloud environments for optimal performance.
• Automate software deployment and configuration processes.
• Work closely with IT support and development teams to optimize workflows.
• Develop and maintain documentation for processes and systems.
• Implement and manage logging and monitoring systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
• Provide training and support for developers on DevOps best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Ansible

Certifications

• Google Cloud Certified – Professional DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of networking and security protocols: Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
