UX/UI Designer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of design principles and user-centered design methodologies, with the aim of creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Create user journey maps to visualize user interactions.
• Collaborate with product managers to define feature requirements.
• Ensure user experience is consistent across all platforms.
• Utilize analytics tools to inform design decisions.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on projects.
• Be a champion for the user in all design discussions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in UX/UI design

Technical Skills

• Sketch
• Prototyping Tools

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Time management

Certifications

• Certified Usability Analyst (CUA)
• Professional UX Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with front-end development: Hands-on experience with front-end technologies to communicate with developers.
• Knowledge of design thinking processes: Deep understanding of iterative design thinking methodologies.
