Math Lecturer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Math Lecturer to join our academic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, developing course materials, and mentoring students in mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging and interactive mathematics lectures.
• Create inclusive and accessible materials for diverse learners.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student assessments.
• Guide students in independent and collaborative learning projects.
• Contribute to research initiatives within the mathematics department.
• Participate in community outreach to promote mathematics education.
• Attend workshops and training for professional development.
• Actively engage with students outside of class to foster relationships.
• Collaborate with academic staff for program enhancement.
• Help students with academic advising and support services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
• Master's degree in Education is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of teaching experience preferable
