Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Insurance Underwriter who will be responsible for evaluating insurance applications and determining coverage levels. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for new insurance applications.
• Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns to attract potential clients.
• Report on market trends affecting the pricing and coverage of policies.
• Guide clients through the underwriting process and explain coverage options.
• Review files for accuracy and completeness before finalizing policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
• Further qualifications in insurance or underwriting are advantageous

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial underwriting

• Risk assessment protocols

Certifications

• Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
