Job Description

We're on the hunt for a talented Apparel Designer to join our Durban-based team. In this role, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing and creating unique clothing designs that reflect current trends while aligning with our brand. Responsibilities

• Develop creative and original design concepts to elevate collections.
• Work alongside marketing to ensure designs align with brand messaging.
• Adapt existing designs based on feedback from marketing and sales teams.
• Maintain organized records of design processes and design iterations.
• Contribute to trend forecasting to anticipate market shifts.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Collaborate with external partners, such as manufacturers and fabric vendors.
• Conduct presentations for fashion shows and other public appearances.
• Engage with clients to understand their apparel needs and preferences.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline
• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in the fashion industry, preferably in apparel design.

• Professional Certificate in Fashion Design

Languages

• English: Fluent
