Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Security Operations Manager to oversee our cybersecurity efforts in Cape Town. In this pivotal role, you will lead a talented team of security professionals, ensuring the integrity of our systems and data. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and proven leadership experience in managing security operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced threat detection strategies.
• Conduct threat intelligence analysis to improve security posture.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the security operations team.
• Provide security awareness training to all employees.
• Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises.
• Ensure effective communication and reporting of security incidents.
• Liaise with law enforcement and regulatory bodies when necessary.
• Manage a budget for security tools and services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Master's degree in Information Security is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years in leadership roles within cybersecurity
