Project Architect

Job Description

As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for translating client requirements into detailed designs and ensuring seamless project delivery. Your expertise in architecture will contribute to the success of our diverse project portfolio, enhancing the visual landscape of Stellenbosch.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative design concepts based on client needs and project objectives.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural and MEP engineers to ensure feasibility.
• Prepare detailed drawings and technical specifications.
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare design proposals for new projects.
• Ensure designs adhere to local building codes and additional regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree in Urban Planning or Architecture is an advantage

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in complex architectural projects

Technical Skills

• Project Management Software
• Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) membership

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with historic preservation projects: Demonstrated ability to work on renovations of historical buildings.
