Pathology Technician

Job Description

The Pathology Technician will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting laboratory test results, performing diagnostic tests, and ensuring the proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will also maintain laboratory cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests.
• Document and communicate test results to relevant personnel.
• Safeguard compliance with laboratory safety standards and practices.
• Support the laboratory team in maintaining equipment and supplies.
• Foster a collaborative environment with medical staff for optimal patient care.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field

Experience

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

Technical Skills

• Statistical Software

Soft Skills

• Time management

Certifications

• Certification in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Quality control experience: Experience in maintaining quality assurance processes in a laboratory setting.
• Management experience: Experience overseeing laboratory staff and managing workflows.
