Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our growing team in Cape Town. You'll be responsible for implementing cloud solutions and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with various cloud platforms, enabling our clients to leverage the full potential of cloud technology.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable cloud solutions on AWS or Azure.
• Manage, monitor, and maintain cloud services to ensure optimum performance.
• Implement security measures to safeguard cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize applications for cloud environments.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Automation of cloud and DevOps processes using scripting languages.
• Conduct regular backups and failover testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
• Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud deployments and infrastructure management

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

• Hands-on experience with serverless architecture: Experience working with serverless computing platforms for application development.
