Job Description

As a Commercial Roofing Helper, you will assist with the installation of commercial roofing systems and maintenance tasks. This role requires working at heights and collaborating with a skilled roofing team to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Help in the installation and repair of various types of commercial roofs.
• Work alongside skilled roofers to ensure quality workmanship.
• Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of work areas.
• Follow safety measures and report any unsafe conditions.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Load and unload materials and supplies for roofing projects.
• Support with equipment handling, including forklifts and lifts.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Preferred experience in construction or roofing

Technical Skills

• Ability to follow instructions
• Safely operate hand tools

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Quick learner

Advantageous

• Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts: Experience using equipment for loading and moving materials.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in construction: Familiarity with standard safety practices and regulations.
