Structural Engineer

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept through to completion.
• Review and approve project plans and technical specifications.
• Conduct field investigations to evaluate existing structures.
• Utilize design software to enhance project delivery.
• Enhance business relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare budgets and manage project resources to meet deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred or additional relevant certifications

Experience

• 5+ years in a structural engineering role with leadership experience

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Finite Element Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer status is advantageous
• Certificate in Project Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with large scale commercial projects: Exposure to handling large scale commercial engineering projects.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations: Thorough understanding of Western Cape building regulations.
