DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Midrand. In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining our software development and operations processes to enhance our cloud infrastructure's reliability and efficiency. If you're passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement, then this is the job for you.

Responsibilities

• Automate deployments using Jenkins and Kubernetes.
• Work closely with software engineers to improve application performance.
• Monitor and maintain cloud services across multiple environments.
• Create and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
• Ensure continuous integration and delivery processes are efficient.
• Evaluate existing DevOps processes and drive improvements.
• Create standard operating procedures for the DevOps team.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on new technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of direct experience with DevOps processes

Technical Skills

• Azure
• Ansible

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools available for operational needs.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
