Petroleum Engineer

Job Description

As a Petroleum Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing drilling programs to extract oil and gas efficiently and safely. You'll work closely with drilling teams to ensure operations comply with all regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee execution of drilling plans.
• Ensure all operations are performed safely and to specifications.
• Conduct and interpret geological and geophysical surveys.
• Collaborate on cross-departmental projects relating to drilling.
• Perform risk assessments and implement safety protocols.
• Lead training and development for drilling staff.
• Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for drilling projects.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
• Implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Report operational results to management and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Geoscience
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in relevant positions within the oil and gas sector
