We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Equipment Preparer responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments. The ideal candidate will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide sanitized equipment for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of instruments through effective decontamination processes.
• Package and prepare items for sterilization according to protocols.
• Utilize and maintain sterilization equipment safely and effectively.
• Keep detailed logs of sterilization cycles and maintenance activities.
• Work collaboratively with other departments including surgical teams.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to departmental improvements.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures for sterile processing.
• Receive and properly store medical supplies and instruments.
• Conduct periodic audits of sterilization equipment.
• Train team members on best practices in sterile processing.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Healthcare or related field

Experience

• 4 years of experience in a healthcare environment preferred
