Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our Port Elizabeth team. The successful candidate will provide technical support to our staff and ensure that all IT systems are functioning optimally. This role requires a proactive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IT systems and ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with cybersecurity measures and data backup processes.
• Provide training sessions for end-users on new software tools.
• Track and report on common issues for trend analysis.
• Assist with system upgrades and batch installations.
• Offer support during office relocations or system migrations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in technical support roles.

• Linux Operating Systems
• Remote Desktop Applications

• Time Management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash): Ability to automate tasks using scripts.
• Knowledge of VoIP systems: Experience with configuring and troubleshooting VoIP technologies.
