Architect (Sustainability)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Architect (Sustainability) to design environmentally-friendly buildings and contribute to sustainable urban development. You will be responsible for integrating eco-friendly practices into architectural designs, working closely with clients and project teams to deliver sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect sustainable design solutions that meet functional and aesthetic goals.
• Conduct sustainability assessments for existing structures and propose renovations.
• Coordinate with other architects and specialists to ensure a holistic approach to designs.
• Foster a culture of sustainability within the firm, providing mentorship to junior staff.
• Attend building site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Research and implement best practices in sustainable architecture.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Environmental Design
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in sustainable architecture

• SketchUp
• Green Building Certifications

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Creativity

Certifications

• Sustainability Consultant Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with renewable energy systems: Hands-on experience with solar, wind, or other renewable energy systems.
• Knowledge of sustainable landscape architecture: Understanding of designing landscape elements that complement sustainable architecture.
