Job Description

As a Digital Press Operator, you will be entrusted with setting up, operating, and maintaining advanced digital printing presses. Your attention to detail will ensure that all printed materials meet our high standards, delivering top-notch products such as posters, banners, brochures, and flyers.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate digital printing machines for various products.
• Ensure compliance with job specifications, ensuring the highest print quality.
• Perform routine machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with production and design teams to optimise workflows.
• Monitor all printing processes to detect and fix defects.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates on order status.
• Document production processes and maintain accurate records.
• Adapt to new printing technologies and methods as necessary.
• Assist in training new employees on printing operations and protocols.
• Foster a collaborative environment for a successful team dynamic.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Certification in digital printing is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years experience in digital printing roles.

Technical Skills

• Large Format Printing
• Variable Data Printing

Soft Skills

• Flexibility
• Time Management

Advantageous

• Experience with HP Indigo presses: Proven experience operating and maintaining HP Indigo digital printing systems.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours: Availability to work overtime during peak production periods.
