Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The right candidate will possess a thorough understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, with hands-on experience in project management, design, and infrastructure development. You will be responsible for ensuring our projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs and specifications for roadway, drainage, and structural projects.
• Investigate potential construction issues and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with environmental professionals to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and scope of works.
• Promote effective teamwork and collaboration among project teams.
• Deliver presentations and reports on project plans and progress.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies related to civil engineering.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure their work meets quality standards.
• Implement cost-control measures to ensure budget adherence.
• Evaluate project impacts and provide solutions to various engineering challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in civil engineering roles with proven project management experience

• Civil 3D
