Clinical Research Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Research Scientist to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and conducting clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to innovative healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to timelines and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to design effective research methodologies.
• Review and interpret clinical data to assess drug safety and efficacy.
• Develop and maintain clinical trial documentation, including protocols and trial master files.
• Engage with stakeholders, including patients, to gather feedback and improve trial processes.
• Monitor trial progress and data integrity throughout the study duration.
• Ensure that all team members are trained on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
• Coordinate with external vendors for lab services and data management.
• Contribute to grant writing and securing funding for ongoing research initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical research capacity
