Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our fast-paced team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating various logistics activities, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of logistics operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance service quality.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure optimal route planning.
• Analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Train and support staff in logistics best practices and compliance.
• Negotiate contracts with freight carriers to ensure competitive rates.
• Assist in forecasting shipping needs and adjusting budgets accordingly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in logistics or supply chain management

Technical Skills

• SAP ERP System
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Logistics and Supply Chain Certificate
• Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of transportation management systems: Experience with TMS for effective route planning and logistics management.
• Project management experience: Background in managing logistics projects from inception to completion.
