Job Description

The Mental Wellness Centre invites applications for the position of Psychologist. This role involves delivering high-quality psychological services, including psychotherapy and workshops. Candidates should be committed to promoting mental health and well-being in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose mental health conditions in clients.
• Design and implement therapy plans focused on recovery and coping skills.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and families.
• Participate in peer supervision and case discussions.
• Stay informed on latest research and techniques in psychology.
• Engage with community resources to support client needs.
• Maintain professional licensure and ongoing education requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Psychology or related field
• Certification in Clinical Psychology is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Group Therapy
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

• Interpersonal Skills
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience working with diverse populations: Ability to provide culturally competent care.
