Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a highly motivated Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and implementing innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and a passion for engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes for optimization.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Create technical documentation and process maps.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of quality materials.
• Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to reduce variability.
• Facilitate workshops on process improvement.
• Liaise with project teams to ensure engineering standards are met.
• Support the introduction of new technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• An MBA or related qualification is a bonus

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in industrial engineering roles
