Job Description

As a Veterinarian at our Johannesburg facility, you will make a significant impact on animal care. Your role will involve diagnosing illnesses, conducting preventive care, and engaging with pet owners to promote healthy practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform health examinations on animals to assess their health status.
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and diseases.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as required.
• Perform surgeries and emergency medical procedures.
• Educate pet owners on health, nutrition, and wellness.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop care plans.
• Stay current on veterinary practices and continuing education.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote animal health.
• Work with a range of animals, from domestic pets to wildlife.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or a related field
• Registered with the South African Veterinary Council

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a veterinary setting preferred
