Auditor

Job Description

As an Auditor in our Cape Town office, your key responsibilities will involve scrutinizing financial records and ensuring compliance with local regulations. You will work closely with various departments to provide financial advice and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations, making sure all audits are conducted smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant laws.
• Assist the finance team with budgeting and planning.
• Support the training and development of junior staff.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial data.
• Work closely with auditors to provide necessary information.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance
• CPA or ACCA qualification preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in auditing and compliance

Technical Skills

• Internal Control Systems
• Forensic Accounting

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills
• Project Management

Certifications

• CIMA or similar qualification
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in Tax Advisory: Experience in providing tax planning and compliance services.
• Proficiency in Data Analytics Tools: Skilled in data analytics tools for financial reporting.
