Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Pharmacist to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing medication management for oncology patients, providing expert advice on drug therapy, and ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor therapeutic outcomes of oncology medications.
• Advise on drug interactions and contraindications.
• Assist in the review of oncology protocols and clinical guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
• Ensure the safe handling and storage of hazardous drugs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in oncology pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Clinical Oncology Knowledge
• Patient Counseling

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Oncology Pharmacy Certification Board (BCOP) certification is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Clinical Trials: Participation in clinical trials focusing on oncology therapies.
• Training in Palliative Care: Familiarity with palliative care practices related to oncology patients.
