IT Support Technician

Job Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their technical needs. Your expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving will help maintain the integrity of IT systems. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Install and configure new hardware and software applications.
• Monitor system performance and report any issues to IT management.
• Provide training and support to staff on new technologies.
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT assets.
• Work collaboratively with other IT staff to enhance service delivery.
• Support IT projects and initiatives as required.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on the latest IT practices.
• Act as a liaison between end-users and technical staff when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in technical support roles

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous
