Looking for a Tax Consultant to provide comprehensive tax services to our clients in Port Elizabeth. You will collaborate with our financial team to ensure compliance with all tax regulations and help clients maximize their financial positions through sound tax strategies. Your responsibilities will entail performing tax research, writing reports, and assisting in audits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of tax appeals and audits.
• Implement tax planning and compliance strategies.
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance standards.
• Prepare documentation for tax filings and assessments.
• Provide tax-related training to junior staff.
• Stay updated on industry trends and maintain professional certifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Master's in Taxation is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant tax experience

• Tax Software Proficiency

Certifications

• Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in dealing with tax disputes: Proven background in resolving tax-related disputes with authorities.
• Fluency in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Ability to communicate effectively with Afrikaans or Xhosa-speaking clients.
