Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring structural integrity, and collaborating closely with architects and builders.

Responsibilities

• Utilize software tools to model and simulate structural performance.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams for integrated design solutions.
• Participate in public and client meetings to present proposals.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in structural engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Registered as Professional Engineer (PrEng) is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• AutoCAD and Revit

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• ISO 9001 Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Local Building Codes: Knowledge of South African building regulations and codes.
