Pharmacist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Pharmacist to join our Cape Town branch. You will be key in managing medication therapy for our patients, providing them with guidance on their health care. Your role will encompass dispensing prescriptions, patient consultation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify individual medication doses for patients.
• Provide information and answer patient questions regarding medications.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and physicians for patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
• Manage pharmacy team and support staff as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy

Experience

• 3+ years in community pharmacy or hospital pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacology
• Inventory Management

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Participation in patient care initiatives: Experience in initiatives aiming at improving patient care outcomes.
• Training in specialized therapeutic areas: Training in areas such as oncology or geriatrics will be beneficial.
