Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Marine Engine Mechanic to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of marine engines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix engine malfunctions using computer-based diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine maintenance as per schedule and recommendations.
• Keep detailed logs of repairs, service tasks, and parts used.
• Collaborate with other mechanics to solve complex issues.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety protocols.
• Train junior staff members on best practices and methodologies.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain good customer relations through effective communication.
• Report directly to the Workshop Manager on all job-related issues.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant trade certification as a Marine Engine Mechanic
• Additional certifications or specialized training in marine engine systems.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Marine Engineer or in diesel engine repairs.
