Civil Engineer

Job Description

Join our growing engineering team as a Civil Engineer based in Pretoria. In this role, you will lead projects from conception through to completion. You will be tasked with ensuring that all projects are completed within budget, on time, and meet all safety regulations, while also conducting site inspections and liaising with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects and oversee junior engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on schedule.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and report on project status.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure project quality and safety.
• Prepare contract documents and negotiate with suppliers.
• Implement innovative engineering solutions to enhance project outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and contractors.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Highway Engineering

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Registration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in project management software: Experience with software such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Knowledge of environmental impact assessments: Experience in conducting and overseeing impact assessments.
